Kemei vs VGR: Which Trimmer Brand to Buy in Pakistan

Kemei KM-T99 trimmer, KM-5072 trimmer and KM-1791 grooming kit

Products in this guide

Kemei and VGR are both Chinese grooming brands sold across Pakistan, and at the same price their trimmers are closer than most comparison pages suggest. Kemei starts cheaper: the cheapest Kemei clipper in our shop costs ₨ 1,459, while the cheapest VGR hair trimmer in stock on vgrpakistan.com was Rs 2,999 when we checked on 30 October 2026. VGR prints longer run times on its listings, and VGR Pakistan gives a 6-month repair warranty. Below, six Kemei and VGR models are matched by price, with the specs each brand prints.

We sell Kemei, not VGR, so read this as a Kemei shop’s comparison. VGR prices and specs come from VGR Pakistan’s own product pages on 26 October 2026 and will change.

Quick answer:

  • Under Rs 2,500, buy Kemei. VGR had no hair trimmer in stock below Rs 2,999, and Kemei sells the KM-T99 clipper (₨ 1,459) and 3-in-1 kits like the KM-6331 (₨ 1,940).
  • Between Rs 3,000 and Rs 4,500, compare the model, not the brand. VGR’s listings print longer run times. The Kemei model at the same level usually costs a few hundred rupees less.
  • If a long warranty matters most, VGR is ahead: VGR Pakistan covers manufacturing faults for 6 months on products bought from its own site.
  • For a grooming kit under Rs 5,000, Kemei has more choice: seven kits in our shop against three VGR kits on vgrpakistan.com.

Where VGR is ahead

Battery life on paper. VGR prints a run time on nearly every listing, from 90 to 500 minutes on the models above. Most Kemei boxes don’t print one. Where both brands do, VGR’s figure is higher: 180 minutes for the V-998 against 120 for the KM-5072. These are the makers’ figures, not our tests.

Warranty. VGR Pakistan repairs manufacturing faults for 6 months on products bought from vgrpakistan.com. If you want a warranty that long, that is the main reason to pay more.

Where Kemei is ahead

Price at the bottom of the range. A working clipper with four combs for ₨ 1,459, and 3-in-1 kits from ₨ 1,849, have no VGR equivalent in stock. For a first trimmer, a spare for work or a gift, Kemei costs less.

Kits. Our shop has seven Kemei kits under Rs 5,000 against three at VGR Pakistan, from the 3-in-1 KM-6331 with a foil shaver and nose trimmer up to the 11-in-1 KM-5031. Our grooming kit comparison puts six Kemei kits side by side.

Returns on damaged items. We give 3 days to report a damaged or wrong item and pay the return postage. VGR gives 48 hours and the customer pays postage.

About the numbers you will read online

Some comparison pages say Kemei trimmers run at 4,000 to 5,500 RPM, last 45 to 70 minutes and cost Rs 1,500 to 3,500. None of those figures names a model. Kemei’s own boxes give 120 minutes of use for the KM-5072 and a 2000mAh battery for the KM-1779, the same size as VGR’s V-683. The Kemei trimmers and kits in our shop run from ₨ 1,459 to ₨ 8,099. Most Kemei boxes we sell don’t print a motor speed, so we don’t quote one.

Treat every run time and RPM figure, from either brand, as the seller’s claim. Reviews from buyers of that exact model tell you more.

How to get a genuine one

  • Buy from a shop that names the exact model number, like KM-1779 or V-683, and shows the box.
  • When it arrives, check the box contents against the listing: combs, heads, cable and oil.
  • Record an unboxing video. Both our returns policy and VGR’s ask for one if something is wrong.
  • VGR Pakistan’s warranty only covers products bought from vgrpakistan.com, so check where a VGR trimmer came from before you rely on it.
